The Ponies can be seen from the deck! We even provide binoculars.
There are two roundups each year in Aril and October which is a great time to see the ponies up close besides from the July Pony Swim.
You are also able to kayak from the dock to the ponies depending where they are on the island and the tides.
Ponies can be seen from your car on Assateague Island. The ponies do move around quite a bit so they will be in different areas each day.
During your stay there is a designated boat slip assigned to unit 22. There is also trailer storage at the back of the parking lot that is open to guest during their stay.
There are 5 boat ramps on the island with 2 being located on the same road as the condo. You can find a map for the boat slips by following the below link. Boat Ramp Map

Chincoteague is a great place to fish.
You can fish off the dock, with a boat, via charter, or even from the Assateague Beach.
Captain Steve's Bait and Tackle is a great place to get everything you need. They will also share with you what is biting and what bait to use.

The Chincoteague Carnival is a lot of fun for the whole family. The Carnival opens the Friday before 4th of July and stays open until the Saturday after The Pony Swim.
The Carnival offers rides, games, raffles, food, live music, and BINGO which is our favorite.

Feed the horses and rent a set of wheels to explore Assateague Island. This is the closest bike rental spot to Assateague, making it easy to bike over the bridge.

Launch the kayaks right off our dock. It is very important to watch the currents they can become very strong at times.
The lighthouse is free to climb, just don't forget your bug spray.
